Check the file you downloaded really is the one published here. In PowerShell, run:

Get-FileHash .\KelvinPro-.exe -Algorithm SHA256

It must print exactly:

Every download arrives as a .zip — extract it, then right-click the app and choose Run as administrator. Kelvin is brand-new and not yet code-signed, so Windows may show a blue “Windows protected your PC” box: click More info → Run anyway. It is not a virus — here is why. Every Kelvin PRO build publishes a SHA‑256 checksum so you can verify your download yourself, and Kelvin installs no driver and asks you to switch off no Windows security feature.

RetroKelvin PRO — bare-metal identification

CPU-Z-grade hardware ID for machines the modern tools abandoned. It reads the CPU's registers, the SPD chips and the chipset directly — measured clock with live overclock, multiplier and bus, memory part numbers, chipset and GPU device IDs — on everything from Windows XP to 11, in a single 512 KB executable. Shown here in its period-correct Windows XP skin.

RetroKelvin PRO System Details: CPU registers, caches, GPU device IDs and video BIOS
System details — measured clock, multiplier & bus, caches, chipset and full GPU identity down to the video BIOS.
RetroKelvin PRO All Sensors view with live temperatures, voltages and fan RPM
All sensors — live temperatures, voltages, clocks and fan RPM straight off the Super-I/O chip.
RetroKelvin PRO live overview of CPU, GPU and RAM in the Windows XP skin
Live overview — CPU, GPU and RAM at a glance, with four skins including this Windows XP Luna theme.

Kelvin PRO goes deeper

Bottleneck detector
Play for a few minutes and Kelvin tells you whether your CPU, GPU or RAM is capping your frame rate — reading every core individually, not the misleading total, and pointing you at the fix.
Memory benchmark
Real RAM read / write bandwidth and random-access latency — compare sticks, XMP / EXPO profiles and whole systems in seconds.
Disk benchmark
Write / Read / Copy from 256 KB to 1 GB on any drive with true unbuffered speeds — and it names each SSD, so you always know which one you're testing.
System summary
One glance at your whole rig — CPU, GPU + VRAM, RAM type & speed, every drive, motherboard and monitors (with refresh rate and screen size).
Speed test
Ping, jitter & packet-loss to your router and public DNS, plus download / upload speed — the latency numbers that actually decide whether online games feel smooth.
Long time logging ALPHA
A background flight recorder: logs temps, voltages, clocks and fans to a cloud folder you own, so if a part fails you can look back and see what was drifting before it died.
…and the full toolkit
Fan control, SMART drive health, live network speed, per-metric graphs, CSV logging, power & voltage, plus system-uptime stats.
Kelvin PRO bottleneck detector result showing GPU is the bottleneck
Bottleneck detector — the verdict after a play session, with the CPU/GPU/RAM breakdown and what to do about it.
Kelvin PRO memory benchmark results
Memory benchmark — real read/write bandwidth and random-access latency for your RAM.
Kelvin PRO disk benchmark results
Disk benchmark — Write / Read / Copy across sizes on any drive, named by model.
Kelvin PRO system summary showing CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, motherboard and monitors
System summary — your whole gaming rig on one page: CPU, GPU + VRAM, memory, every drive, motherboard and monitors.
Kelvin PRO speed test showing download, upload, ping, jitter and packet loss
Speed test — download / upload plus ping, jitter and packet-loss to your router and public DNS, with a gaming verdict.
Kelvin PRO Long Time Logging tab: record telemetry to your own cloud folder
Long time logging (early alpha) — quietly record your machine's vitals to a cloud folder you own, then analyse the history for a component drifting toward failure.

All of it free — Kelvin PRO is the deep-dive companion to the everyday Kelvin monitor. Get PRO →

What Kelvin reads

Temperatures
CPU package, GPU core & memory junction, drives, motherboard.
Clocks & load
Per-core CPU clocks, GPU core clock, utilisation and RAM usage.
Fans & power
Fan RPM, controllable channels, and live wattage draw (Pro).
Health & network
SMART drive verdicts, up/download speed, CSV logging (Pro).

Every build reads sensors directly from your hardware, so it needs to run as Administrator. No account, no background service, no data leaves your PC.
